Shelton, CT.—February 19, 1999—CTL, Inc., a leading provider of voice
processing systems, today announced that it has entered into a
distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, the world’s largest
distributor of computer technology products and services. The agreement
enables Santa Ana, California-based Ingram Micro to distribute CTL’s
award winning FLASH voice mail system worldwide.
FLASH, a diskless voice mail platform, is designed for the small to medium business market. The product is based on technology from Dialogic Corporation, the leader in computer telephony components. The solid state design provides increased reliability, ease of installation, ease of use and lowers the entry-level price of an office voice mail system. CTL’s award winning software, installed on FLASH, allows programming of the system using a touch-tone telephone. With the help of CTL’s default installation software, installation typically takes less than one (1) hour. FLASH offers a robust automated attendant and voice mail feature package not normally affordable by the smaller user. FLASH installs with most phone systems in the market today and is year 2000 compliant. The system offers 4 voice ports, 3 hours of message time and 50 user mailboxes and has a suggested retail price of $2,495.00. ‘Best of Show’ from Computer Telephony Expo ’98 and CTI magazine’s ‘1998 Product of Year’ are just two of the accolades in the FLASH portfolio. “The combination of Dialogic technology, CTL software and Ingram Micro’s innovative distribution philosophies almost ensure the success of FLASH. The voice mail opportunity for the smaller end of the market via resellers is immense and FLASH is the ideal solution for them. Needless to say, we are very excited about this agreement with Ingram Micro.” “Using the Dialogic VoiceBrick platform, CTL has developed a voice messaging solution that offers enterprise level technology for smaller office environments at an affordable price,” said Virginia Boylan, product line manager, Dialogic Corporation. “CTL and Ingram Micro are opening the door for resellers to quickly deliver the low-cost, easy-to-install systems needed to penetrate this expanding market.”
